It's odd. I really prefer paper books when I'm reading in bed. I can't do ebooks on my tablet before trying to sleep.

Yuri is a 17 year old Russian physicist who comes to the states in order to help NASA deal with an asteroid that is approaching earth. But no one wants to listen to a 17 year old. He meets a typical American girl and learns about a way of life completely foreign to his own. But will he ever be #backintheussr? #rockinmay Likely not because the USSR ceased to exist before he was even born.

pickThis was so good! I was laughing every other page and the rest of the time, I had a stupid grin on my face. I loved all the characters, the plot was great, and the jokes were on point. It was great 🤣
pickLoved this! Read it in one sitting, then made my husband read it. Yuri is brilliant and clueless at the same time. It was hilarious watching him try to learn how to be a teenager while also trying to save the world.
Yuri is a 17 year old Russian physics genius who has been sent to California to help NASA stop an asteroid that's heading for Earth. He's homesick and completely clueless about American cultural norms, and the book is full hilarious moments where he's just trying to fit in or understand.

pickLearning to Swear in America is a wonderful, entertaining, and fun read. I loved the messages, action, and pure hilarity that ensues. I highly recommend this book as it really is full of just perfect insight of what teens deal with, no matter where you hail from. Surprisingly, the swearing isn‘t the main focus of this book, but the title does convey the need to overcome the hurdles of culture. 4 solid, falling from the sky, stars!

pickBOOM, BABY! This is a contemporary book with profanity and a love interest with an incomprehensible hairstyle--all not-me things--but I LOVED THIS BOOK. It's hilarious and quippy and fun but also tense (hello, the world is ending) with relatable, philosophical moments. ❤️👏🏼👍🏼☄

pickThis pre-apocalyptic fish-out-of water story definitely had its charms. Loved the protagonist, though the love interest was a bit too MPDG for my taste. Overall a fun read if you don't mind a story with quirk.
pickObviously my cat Miles loved it. And I liked it very much. Russian boy genius is tasked to save the world from approaching asteroid. Great tension building, delightful diverse characters, different point of view, would appeal to many types of teen readers.
First chapter was pretty cute and funny. We shall see how the rest goes.
