so-soI truly think Anna Quindlen is a wonderful writer. And I liked this story, but I didn't love it. 😬 I found myself more frustrated with Meghan and Bridget than wanting to root for them. And the writing style is one where she jumps to flashbacks or side stories that take the reader out of the moment and I just found that distracting. Her descriptions are lovely though and the lense through which she sees New York is fun to read.

pickWell written book told from a sister's perspective as our main character effectively falls from grace. Narrator Bridget is a social worker in the Bronx and her sister, Meghan, is a famous morning news show host, so we see two very different New York Citys. Ending was a little plot heavy, and too neatly wrapped up with an epilogue of sorts for my tastes. Interesting takes on journalism and the price of fame; personal feels for Bridget's aunt role

For #FunFridayPhoto, this is the book that has been on my GoodReads TBR the longest (early 2014) starting with the first letter of my first name. I enjoyed Quindlen's ONE TRUE THING more than anticipated, which led me here. I found it at a library book sale when I got my D.C. library card. But my mother snatched it away from me and now I think it's at my sister's house. I should ask her to look for it cos I wanna read it soon!
