The Rules of Love & Grammar
The Rules of Love & Grammar | Mary Simses
11 posts | 4 read | 13 to read
A woman finds love and closure, and rediscovers herself, when she returns to her roots in the enchanting new novel from the author of The Irresistible Blueberry Bakeshop & Caf. Newly jobless, newly single, and suddenly apartmentless, writer Grace Hammond has come unmoored. A grammar whiz who's brilliant at correcting other people's errors, she hasn't yet found quite the right set of rules for fixing her own mistakes. Desperate to escape the city and her trifecta of problems, Grace hits pause and retreats to her Connecticut hometown. What begins as a short visit with her parents quickly becomes a far more meaningful stay, though, as she discovers that the answers to what her future holds might be found by making peace with-and even embracing-the past. As Grace sets out to change her ways and come to terms, finally, with the tragedy that took her older sister's life so many years ago, she rekindles a romance with her high school sweetheart, Peter, now a famous Hollywood director who's filming a movie in town. Sparks also fly at the local bike shop, where Grace's penchant for pointing out what's wrong rattles the owner's ruggedly handsome schoolteacher son, Mitch. Torn between the promise of a glamorous life and the allure of the familiar, Grace must decide what truly matters-and whether it's time for her to throw away the rule book and bravely follow her heart.

Barnes and Noble is having a sale. Select hardbacks are 2 for $10 and select paperbacks are 2 for $8. And of course, the rest of the store is full of books you can‘t go home without. A couple of these are gifts so I didn‘t do too badly. 🙄📚

#summerlovinreadathon is over. I haven't reach the goal but I really enjoyed and had a great time. My time stopped at 19:53 and I read 4 books and started fifth (tagged book).

Without rain nothing grows, learn to embrace the storm of your life.

We have rainny day. I hate rain but sometimes is good because I can read in silence and nobody bother me.

#MarchInBooks Season in the title
I only have books with Summer (Poletje) in the title. But my favourite is spring. I love the colours of blossom trees and flowers.
Which is your favourite season?

Pickpick

I picked up this book because the English Major in me was drawn to the title. But it was the bicycle mechanic's daughter in me that made me love it. This wonderful summer read was a walk down memory lane, taking me back to my childhood spent exploring my dad's bike workshop. It's a beautiful love story and a fitting ode to bike mechanics and grammarians alike.

MrBook Great review and pic! 8y

Quiet night at the Circ desk, wonderful time for a light read and this book fits the bill perfectly!
