I‘ve chatted online with people and told them I‘m Autistic before and they‘ve stopped talking to me. Also, I told a guy online I used to be friends with that I‘m Autistic and he was mean to me about it. He treated me like I was stupid if I didn‘t understand what he was trying to say to me. I no longer talk to him because he was an asshole. He thought I forgave him for being mean to me but I never did. Maybe I should‘ve been mean back to him.

TEArificbooks I had a friend who was also a mom, we meet up had our kids have play dates, invited each other to birthday parties. Spent years together as friends. She dropped me like a bag of rocks when after 10 years I mentioned my youngest is autistic, she has been around my son his whole life. She thought I should lead with that information that she was privy to that information and it defined him. He is still the same kid you know and love He hasn‘t changed 3w
dabbe I do not like at all that this happened to you or to you @TEArificbooks. I “hearted“ the post to show that I care. Fuck them. Seriously. Those people are not worth a nano-second of your time. They have to live with themselves. We Littens care! 🩵💙🩵 3w
MatchlessMarie I hate that this happened to you and @TEArificbooks my son is autistic too and I see people react similarly to the word disability. They treat it like it‘s a dirty word and say things like differently abled, et cetera. It‘s like people are afraid that it‘s catching which says a lot about how ableism is alive and well smh 😒 3w

Hello Litsy Community! I'm participating in the Autism Speaks Walk and would love it if some of you would donate to my fundraiser! My little Spiderman was diagnosed with Autism last year and I would love to spread more awareness!

CarolynM My now 23 year old son was diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome when he was 8. There were challenges, but I wouldn't change him. I hope you, he, and all your family are in a good place with it all. 4y
mylifeas_marissa @CarolynM Thank you so much! Some days can be crazier than others. He‘s actually my cousin but my mom watches him during the week. He definitely can be a handful but I wouldn‘t change who he is. 4y
