I enjoyed this one, loved seeing everyone again as they continued to grow and move forward..... the ending made me tear up a bit though, not going to lie. And I‘m very happy that when revisiting she kept Trent and Rachel‘s relationship strong and made them a team.... I really was afraid of a reversal of the epilogue of the last (and originally final book).

mcctrish I was so surprised when I saw someone post about this book, I had thought The Hollows was done. I was happy to return and it was a legit story line not the garbage Sookie Stackhouse had to endure with the True Blood nightmare at Charlaine Harris‘ hands. 4y

I really enjoyed it, and yes, she had finished the series, with an epilogue in the future....so when she decided to write some more I was worried (but it was great to see how she added more story into that void between the old end and epilogue of that last book). And YES, I wish I had stopped reading Sookie Stackhouse about 4-5 books earlier, exactly when True Blood started twisting the story (so after season 1 🙄😂) 4y

Riveted_Reader_Melissa @mcctrish A bunch of series I thought were complete (or the author was just done) have been adding books lately, and I‘m always leery. I haven‘t picked up the new (prequel) Hunger Games yet, there‘s a new Twilight (Edwards POV) coming out, and the Dresden Files put out a new book after a 6 year(ish) break. I think this one shows it can be done, and done well. 4y

mcctrish I‘m not sure I can revisit Twilight 🤣but I‘m up for the Hunger Games prequel. I have not read the Dresden Files at all 🤔 best get on that 4y

I seriously love cold brew. I want to thank Kim Harrison for continuing The Hollows series, I really thought it was over. I never read her book The Turn that was basically a prequel, explaining how it all came to be. I guess I should. It looks to me like there will be another after this 🖤

I'm weak. I just couldn't do a whole re-read of the series before I picked this up. But I mean c'mon, it's a fave of mine and the author resurrected the story after it ended in 2014! The new direction that Harrison took Rachel and the crew in posits a lot of fun avenues to tread down in the future. There was the beloved sarcasm, a new foil, and a heart-wrenching loss, all beautifully wrapped up as a gift to fans of The Hollows. Highly recommended!

Instead of my pre-order of American Demon, amazon have sent me some false nails... thanks guys! So I am getting a refund (I have to send this back?) and then I guess reordering!

Lesanne Amazon is usually good about fixing their mistakes. The couple of times I got the wrong thing I didn‘t even have to send anything back so you might be able to enjoy your book and the nails!! 😃 4y
