I adore this short story collection and read it to kick off the holiday season every year.

For me reading Truman Capote‘s A Christmas Memory is a favorite holiday tradition. It‘s a quiet hour I take for myself to kick off the holiday season. I love the work Truman and his cousin Sook put into their fruitcakes: gathering nuts, saving pennies, and buying whiskey down by the river. It‘s a story filled with anticipation and wistfulness all at once. Read it this morning and will carry its warm glow all day.
I‘m notorious for not sticking to them, but here‘s my #DecemberTBR. The top is for a buddy read with @Andrew65 & the Tolkien for my irl book club, so I know I‘ll read those. The Dylan Thomas and A Christmas Carol are traditions. We read them every year. The rest are good intentions. 😀 #hollyjollyreading @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @OriginalCyn620

A true story of Thanksgiving & a Thanksgiving murder. 🦃🎉
Happy Thanksgiving Littens!
1. Thanksgiving is definitely November-ish.😃
2. Turned in an application for one of my Town's Advisory Boards. Considering my utter lack of motivation this week & the fact it isn't due until mid-December, I consider that a huge success!
3. Family movie night - probably Manchurian on Disney+ and then maybe Doctor Strange.
4. Only one, he passed away after a kidney transplant when I was...holy sh*t, Maya's age. My dad's twin.
5. 👍
