Beauty and the Beast meets Taming of the Shrew in this laugh-out-loud and heartfelt Regency romance. Lord Nathaniel Harte, the disagreeable Duke of Beswick, spends his days smashing porcelain, antagonizing his servants, and snarling at anyone who gets too close. With a ruined face like his, it's hard to like much about the world. Especially smart-mouthed harpieswith lips better suited to kissing than speakingwho brave his castle with indecent proposals. But Lady Astrid Everleigh will stop at nothing to see her younger sister safe from a notorious scoundrel, even if it means offering herself up on a silver platter to the forbidding Beast of Beswick himself. And by offer, she means what no highborn lady of sound and sensible mind would ever dream ofa tender of marriage with her as his bride.

Loved it! A fun alternate beauty and beast retelling. Thane was badly injured in war, and now the scarred duke lives in isolation as the beast of Beswick. Astrid needs help to protect her sister from a bad suitor, and thane might be what she needs. ❤️❤️❤️ Very 🌶!!

This book has been on my TBR pile forever and I‘m so glad I finally got to it because it was fantastic! A bit of a beauty and the beast retelling with a grumpy, scarred, war hero and an independent, sarcastic heroine.

Astrid is trying to protect her younger sister when she proposes to Thane. He knows she‘ll eventually leave him so he keeps pushing her away. I loved the banter between these two so much!

I am utterly smitten and in love with this retelling! The Beast of Beswick by Amalie Howard had me captivated the entire time and I enjoyed every moment. I adore both Thane and Lady Astrid and rooted for them the entire time. I love the relationship between them and their interactions definitely has all the feels. I won't get into details but the tension and chemistry between them is swoony and I could not get enough.

I read this intense, steamy romance in one sitting. I‘ve heard so many people rave about this book, now I know why. I love a fairytale retelling, and this is a fantastic one! #romantsy

This #romantsy was described as Taming of the Shrew meets Beauty and the Beast and it totally delivers. Full of humor, feminist anger, love and very human secondary characters. 💕

Mehso-so

I was excited about this book after reading the excerpt but after reading it, I found myself disappointed with the lack of progress between our mains. They have dynamic and witty banter but they're just too focused on sex when they need communication to solve their issues

Stuck downtown for a while so decided to continue tBoB. TBH the whole "I'm a monster look at my face" is getting old and yet I get it. Society is based on looks and he had a bad experience with his dad when he came back from serving but I wish his inferiority was a bit more...complex

I've always wondered about this line. It sounds like he "just" lied about her virtue but did he actually...do something to her? Both are terrible considering the times but yeah, I'd like to know #wintergames #tmskellington #tbrread

My library holds came in! Also, this reminds me of an Italian girl I met last month and how she said a spinster was an ugly woman and I was like wut 👀 One, people still use this word? and Two, what kind of a definition is that?! Calm down me who has read too many regency novels #wintergames #tbrread #tmskellington
