Birthday book haul 😍 gifts from my brother and lovely @Sarah83
This MF picture book is a wordless Caldecott award winner. It is about a determined young girl who draws a magic door in her room and escaped to her own fantasy land. Is she safe? Having fun? You‘ll have to see for yourself ;) This book would be a great RT because it allows the students to created their own scripts based off of the images! #ucflae3414su20
Journey is a Caldecott honor F wordless picture book by Aaron Becker. This book follows a young girl and her “journey” through a fantasy land. I believe this book would be great for a RT and for my students to create a script because there are no words in this book. Students can take turns being the narrators and the little girl main character.
Journey by Aaron Becker is a F book that has won a Caldecott. It shows the journey of Josephine creating a magic world with just a red marker. What‘s interesting about this hook is that it does not contain words but just beautiful images our her journey. I think this would be great for a LC because students could share the imagination with one another on what they think is happening in the story. #ucflae3414f19

"Journey" (F) by Aaron Becker is a wordless picture book that follows a young girl who draws her way into a fantasy world with her red crayon. The girl explores the kingdom, finds a beautiful pink bird and fights to free it from enemies. Without words, this is a great choice for Storytelling. Teachers get to ask students what they think is happening, teaching them to use visual context clues. #lae3414sp19
Journey, writ and illus by Aaron Becker, is a Caldecott award winning MF story that is completely told through pictures. This wordless book would be perfect for IR- allowing students to make up their own story as they follow along. The story is about a little girl who uses her magic crayon to take her on vast journeys to faraway places. UDL1.3-alternatives for visual info. EL#17-provide support through visuals. #UCFLAE3414F17
A wordless picture book that takes you through a journey of a lonely girl who draws herself a door to escape into a world of wonder and adventure. This modern fantasy Caldecott award wining book is the first in a trilogy of stories by Aaron Becker. This book would be a great for an AS. This book offers students visual information implementing UDL 1.3 and EL 17. #UCFLAE3414F17 https://www.tes.com/lessons/ic5Fl0gvEQipbA/journey-by-aaron-becker
This gorgeous picture book is on my to-buy list for this illustration alone! And it fits today's #jubilantjuly #journey theme perfectly. 😊
Checked this out of the Elkin library. I've probably picked it up in Barnes & Noble a dozen times. It was great to finally get all the way through. There are no words, just a cool fantasy story told with pictures and it's the first book in a trilogy! My son liked it too!
Absolutely gorgeous. Reminded me of a cross between "Coraline" and that old cartoon Chalk Zone. Stunning illustrations -- you don't need words to be amazed by this story, and you don't need my words to convince you. 5/5 stars
A beautiful and wonderful wordless picture book. It tells the story of a little girl with her trusty red crayon. With it she can go on a wonderful adventure and see things not seen in our world, such as flying steam ships. Excellently planned and illustrated.
Beautiful books and an awesome author! I met him at the RI Festival of Children's Books & Authors. I'm not a children's librarian anymore but I happily browse those books!
The first in a wonderful wordless picture book series, I fell in love with Journey and am recommending this to children and adults alike. #librarian #KBReads #childrensbook
Such a wonderful journey for the reader! First in a trilogy. Brought back memories of Harold.
