'A psychological thriller in the truest sense of the word: deeply unsettling' Sarah Vaughan 'A fabulous novel of modern love, life and people, with an excellent twist.' Dorothy Koomson Nancy, Eleanor and Mary met at college and have been friends ever since, through marriages, children and love affairs. Nancy married her college sweetheart and is now missing that excitement of her youth. Eleanor put her career above all else and hasn't looked back, despite her soft spot for Nancy's husband. Mary fell pregnant far too young and is now coping with three children and a mentally unwell husband. But when Nancy is killed, Eleanor and Mary must align themselves to uncover her killer. And as each of their stories unfold, they realise that there are many ways different truths to find, and many different ways to bring justice for those we love...

This was an interesting read and an insight into the lives of three women leading different lives but finding ways to be friends. The plot is quite slow but steady at the same time, building to an ending that sums the story up well. This isn't the happiest of stories but the ending has lots of hope. The characters are all different and have many flaws but there's something relatable about each one. The writing is good. #Netgalley 3*

The best thing about this book is the title and lovely book cover design/ the rest is CRAP 😝What a disappointment. I‘m surprised that the editor/ publisher is willing to finance this. There are so many gifted and talented writers right now, this book doesn‘t come close.

TrishB Won‘t be tempted even by 99p then! 4y
KarenUK Eek! Thanks for the warning! 4y
CarolynM Every now and then I read a book (or part of a book😂) and wonder how on earth it got published. Thanks for warning me off this one. 4y

Cinfhen I just don‘t get it, but there were lots of good reviews so maybe I‘m being extra critical @CarolynM @KarenUK @TrishB if this was a movie it would go straight to video/ I stand by my judgement 🤓 4y
TheNerdyProfessor New York Times just identified this as one of their books to read this week! 4y

Wow! This book is BAD!!!! I‘m only 30% in and I‘m ready to quit #ARC #NetGalley 😝I read and enjoyed her previous book Our Kind of Cruelty but this book seems like a different author wrote it. It‘s sloppy and illogical and really weak writing. Ugh....I might have to invoke #TheSkim

TrishB Bailing yet? 4y
Cathythoughts Oh no 🤦🏼‍♀️ not #Theskim 🤣 4y
Cathythoughts Sorry, I‘m in a very giddy mood ... invoking #TheSkim has conjured up all sorts of crazy images for me 😜 4y

Cinfhen Naughty girl @Cathythoughts 😜I plead guilty... I skimmed @britt_brooke @AmyG @trishbronte and I still managed to waste 5 .5 hours 😝 4y
Centique Invoke #theskim sounds a bit like #releasethekraken 😂 All the book monsters are bring unleashed to devour this one 🐉🐲🦖🦕 4y
Cathythoughts @Centique I got very giddy over it .. I was imagining all the horror characters ( with background music) this hashtag is a keeper Cindy 👏🏻😁 4y
