Found out yesterday that I need to get my gallbladder removed the week before Thanksgiving. One of my first thoughts was the giant dent I'll make in my TBR this month. Am I crazy? #lookingonthebrightside #blameitonlitsy

v_cuev @KarenUK There aren't that many opportunities in life where it's 100% acceptable and expected that you do nothing but eat, sleep, and read. I plan on taking full advantage of it! 8y
Abby-J You're not alone. I'm getting my IVF embryos transferred next Tuesday, which, granted, is a much happier occasion than a gall bladder removal. Nonetheless, I'm totally looking forward to lying around and reading. 8y

readinginthedark Oh wow! You will have some good down time, but I would recommend eating some of your Thanksgiving goodies before the surgery just in case. Every time I go to the hospital, a doctor tells me to change my diet. 😕 8y
DeborahSmall I had spinal surgery 2 years back. Pain was horrific for couple of days then I just lay in bed reading for 10 days.....heaven ❤️📚 8y
