Not bad. We follow a stage manager who ends up falling in love with an actress. But the twist being that she‘s not supposed to fall in love. Overall I found it to be entertaining and a pretty good pick for June

Almost done with this one it‘s taken me over a year! My goal is to read all my once upon a book club books this year! I had to unsubscribe because I have too many boxes!
This book is just the sweetest and most fun. So queer-positive and really reminds me why I love theater.
I made it about 50% of the way through and realized I was skimming and skipping whole pages and yet still knew what was going on. I like the diversity (bi protagonist with dads), but the story isn‘t that captivating. And quite frankly, it was too much theater talk. More important, the characters didn‘t draw me in. Mel is rather flat, a one-dimensional character. So I‘m calling it.
This is my May #doublespin
First book finished for #joyousjanuary and #slumpathon This was a fun read. It‘s a very young adult book about kids in a conventional high school (I like young adult fiction but usually read the more adventure based ones). But the theatre theme was awesome. As someone who did high school theatre it brought me right back to those happy memories. It was fun. And for me I got to share it with my daughter which made it awesome.

My 12 year old daughter just read this and loved it. So now, she tells me, I MUST read it. RIGHT NOW. I can‘t possibly read everything all of my kids read but I do try to read a few books from each kid every year. So here‘s to the first one in 2021.
This book was seriously so fun and is making me want to listen to the Les Mis soundtrack so bad right now. I love anything theater related and this was just so well done. It made me really nostalgic for days when I used to partake in theater in high school and I just loved the characters and the stories. Very fun!
Just received my #LitJoyCrate earlier today! I‘m in love with this cover! This book has #LGBTQ themes which I‘m so excited for! This book sounds so sweet and I can‘t wait to read it!

I heart Robin Talley‘s books, and this one snuck up on me. Two chapters in and I‘ve LOL-ed like 20 times. I haven‘t even gotten to the heart of things, but if you were a theater kid or wanted to be, read this!!!
