I have to tell you I‘m a little burned out on all the books now set during WWII and came to this with a meh feeling despite the fact I love this author. I ended up really enjoying this one as the characters were ones that truly came alive for me. #readingchallenge2022 #marchreadinglist

Genevieve is the toast of Nazi Paris. This allows her to go undetected as she helps the Allies. When her mother is arrested by the SS she reunites with her estranged sister to break her out.

I'm finishing the year with some great reading, this one had me on the edge of my seat. A little bit predictable but a really well told story. Very suspenseful, had me thinking about the characters when I wasn't reading it.

This is the 3rd or 4th book I have read featuring WWII women spies and it is excellent. It builds steadily and the last 100 pages are heart pounding. You will enjoy The Black Swan.

This book had a slow buildup & was too long. Sadly, I found it a struggle to get through the book, and, in my opinion, not worth the read.

The plot was intriguing, but by the time it got interesting I was no longer interested. I did not care for the main characters, Genevieve and Max. Eventually, I resorted to skimming through chapters just to get through it.

I think this was more of a romance novel than historical fiction. Just not for me.

This picture doesn‘t do the cover justice, it‘s absolutely gorgeous! Great book about one young woman‘s efforts in helping the Resistance in Paris. I loved the spy like feel of it.

A woman works against the nazis undercover and gets drawn into a more complex world then she could imagine, including with her family.
