22 #25 This year‘s fall back series when I need something light and comforting.
Even though I have never been I would love to visit the setting of this book! #setinaplaceilove #bookmoods @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @Eggs

I decided that since travel is not in my life these days,I will travel vicariously through our mug collection. We buy mugs when we travel. This mug is reminiscent of the years my family summered on Cape Cod.My parents eventually retired there, both ending their long lives there. The 6 year anniversary of my mother‘s death was yesterday. She lived a long life, dying at 92 as she wanted to,in her bed in Harwich with family.
And now I am caught up with this series & starting my #arc of Mocha She Wrote which is coming out in July. This was a good addition to the series. Jules & the Torte team are about to open an outdoor summer pop up selling grab-n-go pastries, sandwiches & concretes (custard ice cream) when a homeless man (a fixture in the Ashland community) is murdered & of course Jules (& Lance) are on the case. Made me want to go on an ice cream binge!🍦🍨🍦
My finished Cajun Shrimp Chowder is just zesty & spicy enough to hit the spot on a humid 80 degree F. day. I love chowder any time of year but they especially say summer to me. 🤷🏻♀️😋 Recipe link below in comments.
Paired here with a current read. I‘m trying to finish this one so I can start the #ARC of the newest Mocha She Wrote, #13 that I just received. The ice cream/custard/concretes mentions in it made me go eat a popsicle afterward. 😆
What a delightful addition to the bakeshop mystery series!!! These books always keep me guessing and certainly make me wish that torte was real so I could enjoy a cup of the delicious coffee!!
Chilled to the Cone is a delightful addition to the Bakeshop Mystery Series. Ellie Alexander never disappoints. Her characters draw you in and the mysteries hold on tight.

This series gives me all the feels! Every time I start a new book in this series, it feels like a homecoming; I love seeing what everybody is up to you and being reminded of the town and all the fantastic characters. The plot and mystery is always so engaging and such an easy read that I zip right through; and this one was no exception! I was a bit annoyed with her extremely pessimistic view of Carlos, but everything else was delightful.
