I love it when a sequel is written about my favorite character from the first book, which is exactly what I got from this follow-up to Sacred Sins. This was more suspenseful than a lot of Roberts's books, and I was pretty hooked!! Knowing who the murderer was did not make the story less intense!

This was my second #ReadYourSign title: the color of sapphire.

At the end of yesterday I was sitting at 288pgs for #JoysofJune, so only slightly behind!

She's a border collie, but is small for her breed + has kind of a crazy coat (currently irregularly cut thanks to our attempt at a home summer cut haha) so she frequently gets mistaken for an Aussie when we are out and about. My husband has always wanted a blue-eyed merle thanks to Led Zeppelin lol They are energetic dogs!! (Aussies, too!) 5y

Okay, I didn't make the Bonanza progress I had hoped to, but I did read four more from my list, am caught up on Sense & Sensibility, and also read Phoebe & Her Unicorn and Sacred Sins, and am halfway through the tagged book. So a smidge off the plan, but still reading, so that's good enough for me! 😂

I somehow missed this early book by Roberts. I really like her writing and this is an ok book, showing that she tells a good story but the characters in this one fell flat for me. Maybe I'd have liked it better in 1988 when it was published but I guess I was too busy being a high school senior to have read this one. 😬

Guinness and I are finishing this up today. I've been up since 5, dropped dishes off from yesterday's catered brunch at work (a friend owns the catering co so I was really just running them back to her), cleaned the pantry, ran 2 loads of dishes through and 2 loads of laundry. It's almost 1 now so I think the rest of today shall be devoted to reading and napping!
