Follow the River is a full-length, mature, new adult bully/enemies-to-lovers MM (male/male) romance with dark themes. There will be triggering content for some readers. 1. Follow the River by C.E. Ricci. If you like dark and bully M/M romance you should read it. The book also contain trigger warning so is not for everyone. Setting is on collage and in a cottage on snow mountain. A lot of winter activity and landscape including.

2. Be more susesful at work, doing more for self care and spent more time with my family. And buy new bookshelfs.

3.I'm grateful for my sweet daughter.

WHAT DO YOU THING ABOUT TRIGGERS WARNING IN BOOKS?

Last week in our book club we read 2books with violence (sexsual and physical). One book have trigger warning another one haven't. I also read another book with trigger warning (on the picture). In the last 2years I read so many dark and mafia romances and non of them have trigger warning.

What do you think about it? Should author wrote trigger warning or not?
What about crime thrillers?

maich In crime thrillers is also violence (murder, kidnapping, abuse...) but there are not trigger warning on the first or second page. It's not bother me, I'm ok with it. I know that a novel is fiction and that we can't do this in real life. But some readers bother this kind of stuff. And I like when author wrote trigger warning. Because not all books are for every reader. Some of them don't like that kind of stories. 3y
maich Author on the picture I post wrote that she hate triggers because they can ruin the book, you can predict what will happen and thus can also be spoiler. What's your opinion about this? 3y
Crazeedi If I think book sounds interesting, I dont need the warnings. A reader accepts that there may be things uncomfortable in books. You can choose to stop reading if you want. I 3y

kimmypete1 Personally I don‘t read the trigger warnings, but I also haven‘t experienced any trauma. There are topics I don‘t like, but I‘m generally good at avoiding those based on the blurb. However I do feel that no one should be surprised by a rape scene or other things. I get the authors POV about spoilers, but I think the reader should get to make that choice. I prefer TW to be the page before the book begins, and not in the blurb so it can be skipped. 3y

maich @kimmypete1 Sometimes author don't wrote that in blurbs. I'm reading a book Meet Cute Club, gay couple with books on the cover and sweet blubr. But the story is not so sweet. 3y
TheAromaofBooks Sometimes I think it would be nice if publishers gave books ratings similar to what you get for movies - I enjoy reading thrillers, but don't like books that get into too much gore, so sometimes it would be nice to know ahead of time if it's PG13 or R, if that makes sense. I think trying to list out individual TWs is rather tedious but have read books by some publishers that give the book a “ranking“ on how much it contains in a few broad ⬇ 3y

TheAromaofBooks I found one of the publishers I was thinking of - https://www.cleanteenpublishing.com/content-disclosure/ - they say they don't believe in censorship, but they do believe everyone should be able to know what to expect before they read. I know I've read another YA book lately that had a similar but different ranking system, but I can't think of what it was. 3y

Freespirit I find I usually research most books I read.. or they are recommended so I know a little and am prepared. I can read most things if they are well written..and happy to stop reading if I‘m uncomfortable. 3y
