Teen Titans: Beast Boy Loves Raven
Teen Titans: Beast Boy Loves Raven | Kami Garcia
13 posts | 15 read | 1 to read
From #1 New York Times bestselling author KAMI GARCIA (Beautiful Creatures) and artist GABRIEL PICOLO, the creative duo behind the New York Times bestselling graphic novel Teen Titans: Raven, comes the romantic meet-up we have all been waiting for! It seems like years, but it's only been a few days since Raven Roth recovered her memories, trapped her demon father, Trigon, into her amulet, and had her heart broken for the first time. But she doesn't have time to think about the past...she has to focus on finding a way to get rid of Trigon for good. Garfield Logan still can't believe he has powers that allow him to change into different animals, but the price of knowing that his parents kept this secret hidden from him just feels too high. And what's more, his difficulty controlling these abilities could have unexpected consequences. Both are seeking answers from the one person who seems to have them all figured out: Slade Wilson. When their paths converge in Nashville, Raven and Gar can't help but feel a connection, despite the secrets they both try to hide. It will take a great amount of trust and courage to overcome the wounds of their pasts. But can they find acceptance for the darkest part of themselves? Or maybe even love?

Not a lot happens?? I mean, BB and Raven finally meet and they have a few really cute dates, but I just feel like there's something missing. Panels to make it Exciting. The monkey tho!!! I wanted to rate this higher just for the faces it made!! 😂

The art is def beautiful but it's missing an oomph

Also WHY BB isn't talking with his parents is beyond me. They're scientists! At least let them help or explain, they'd probably be able to help him

Ok so this one felt better than the first two, as if they were just like a warm up for this one and what comes next. The way the two stories started to blend in this volume with the furthering of the plot and character development as well as the opening for the next book and the characters to come. It was all just so well done!!

I cannot wait for the next one to be published.

After a long drive and a swim in the hotel pool, this guy fell asleep within minutes of us snuggling into the hotel bed for reading time

This was the perfect book for Christmas recovery day! A quick, fun story, Beast Boy and Raven are endearing characters. I'm just wishing I didn't have to wait for another installment!

3 1/2 ⭐ Kami Garcia is back with her intro to the Teen Titans series. First we got Raven, then Beast Boy, and now they come together. Most the book follows Raven and Gar finding and falling for each other. They get kidnapped, and need to be rescued. Overall I liked this book. It has a bit too much “instalove” for my taste, and just felt like filler for bigger action that is on the way.

Really enjoyed the latest installment in this Teen Titans series. My only complaint is that the next issue will not come out until fall 2022.

The third graphic novel in the Teen Titans series (#1 Raven and #2 Beast Boy). It continued the plots left off from both previous novels and follows both Raven and Gar as they overcome their powers and find love❤ It was cute, action packed and as usual amazing artwork by Picolo. These books are perfect for taking a small break from reading normal books and are really cool!

Now that we have their each individual stories set, these two get thrown together. Literally. What‘s ever so present here is that they are bonding over their trauma and how different they are from the world around them. Finding solace in each other. Cute city dates, too. It still feels like a powerful prequel to the Teen Titans we all know and love, small quirks here and there. Hopefully this continues to meeting Cyborg and StarFire. #TeenTitans

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Picolo‘s art and coloring are phenomenal as expected, but this story didn‘t grab me quite like Raven‘s and Gar‘s individual installments. I get that a lot needed to be accomplished in one edition, but the relationship was SO rushed. Still entertaining, though. And of course, I dug the Nashville setting! Looking forward to “Robin,” out sometime next year. 🤞🏼

Cinfhen Not my thing but i appreciate the tag 💚💚😘 3y

I'm a big fan of Teen Titans and I really enjoy these YA origin stories. In this one, Raven and Gar meet for the first time. They find themselves in a difficult situation and make a few new friends who help them out.

I didn't find this one as strong as their individual stories, but it's still a fun read. The artwork and inking/coloring are amazing too.

TheAromaofBooks Woohoo!! 3y
