This was a sad and sweet story, with a surprisingly perfect ending.
Couldn't help thinking about my brother while reading this...the personality of the main character is different from my brother, yet the MC is 13 and my brother journeyed-on just before his 15th birthday.
I found this strangely special for that reason, and a bit wistful when reading that ending.
