Winslow Covington believes in life, liberty and the letter of the law. As Quincy, Montanas new chief of police, shes determined to prove herself to the community and show them she didnt earn her position because her grandfather is the mayor. According to her pops, all she has to do is earn favor with the Edens. But winning over the towns founding family might have been easier if not for her one-night stand with their oldest son. In her defense, it was her first night in town and she didnt realize that the rugged and charming man who wooed her into bed was Quincy royalty. Sleeping with Griffin Eden was a huge mistake, one shes trying to forget. Hes insufferable, arrogant and keeps reminding everyone that shes an outsider. Winslow does her best to avoid Griffin, but when a woman is found dead on Eden property, the two of them have no choice but to cross paths. As clues to the murderer lead to one of Quincys own, Griffin realizes Winslow is more than he gave her credit for. Beautiful and intelligent, she proves hard to resist. For him. And the killer.

Just a bit late posting my May #Bookspin TBR. The five blanks were for #TrappedOnAnIsland, but I didn't see anything for this month. I'll have my kids pick something for me :)

@TheAromaofBooks

TheAromaofBooks Woohoo!! I think #TrappedonanIsland is on pause this month as our host hasn't posted in a while. 😕 12mo

This book was good. Perry usually throws some mystery in her books along with the romance. The solved mystery was definitely a plot twist and I didn‘t see it coming. However. I‘m a sucker for slow burn. This couple was together from the very first page and I didn‘t like that as much as some people do.

I loved the characters, they were likable and easy to relate to. Secondary characters were great too.

I was a bit disappointed how little this felt like a story setting at ranch. This wasn't that dense with suspense either and I was waiting for this to be a bit more mysterious.

This was okay read, entertaining and simple. And the last part of the book started to be a bit thrilling too.

This was an entertaining, quick read by one of my favorite Contemporary romance authors. This is romantic suspense, which has light steamy scenes (not highly descriptive but not completely closed door), so this would be a good series to dip your toe into romance. It‘s about a woman who becomes the sheriff in a small town who falls for the eldest of the founding family. 4⭐️

I forgot to post all my recent #bookmail. I received my #botm a few days ago. The 2nd top picture is from Amazon and 2 of them is what happens when you are half asleep and don't mean to buy anything 🤦‍♀️. I really loved The Words so much I had to buy a physical copy. The bottom is Barnes & Noble. Went looking for birthday gifts and left with a few for me too.😄
