I really enjoyed this one. Avon Starros, along with her Nihil bodyguard/friend Deva, goes on a mission inside the inclusion zone to find Jedi Knight Vernestra Rwoh so that she can rescue her padawan Imri. And along with Xylan Graf, she also manages to find a way out 🚀

What a fitting title! And even though not my favourite of the series, still a very good book. Loved the girl power in this (passes the Bechdel test for sure). Especially Deva was really, really cool.
Also, we finally can start to hope again! Good thing after all the heart break...

BookwormAHN Good because it seems the young adult books are the most heart wrenching 💔 2mo

In August, we read Escape From Valo. I love the middle grade books. What did y'all think?
Now, in September, we have Defy the Storm where we join up with Vernestra Rwoh & Avon Starros.
This is the last book on our schedule, so I'll be making up a new one soon. If anyone has any book suggestions, please let me know.
As always, if anyone wants to be added or removed, just let me know. And May the Force Be With You Always 🚀

Jari-chan I also love the MG books ❤️ it would be nice to keep up with them 💛 3mo
The_Literary_Jedi Usually it‘s easy to get through the MG installments but this one was a bit rough for me - I thought the pacing was a bit up & down 3mo

What a fun, beautifully made book! The text can be read through in about an hour or so, but each page just looks so good, with large, high detailed images. It is cool to read through some of the design inspirations, and they even discuss some retcons. I'd love to own this eventually.

his book tries to make it feel like you are a Jedi. It teaches you the Jedi philosophies, describes their training and learning curriculum. It takes you step by step up the ranks telling you what you learn and what the requirements for the next rank are. It also teaches you about aliens and weapons and starships. There are commentaries in colored marker from well known characters. You‘ll find some philosophy including quotes. It‘s a fun read!

This book was great! It has a few pages that goes into the history including combat, history, and movie creation. Each page has a full sized illustration of the lightsaber and the opposite page has the wielder, some facts, movie designs and cool tidbits. Highly recommended. It‘s gorgeous.

So excited-I‘ve been waiting for this book! Two things I love in Star Wars: lightsaber and droids 🤖 #starwars (don‘t mind my dog staring in the background😄)

Just started The Jedi Path. I love the background culture stuff in books like these, but the margin notes are always super gimmicky. Still this font guide does introduce some awesome new canon, in that Darth Sidious is clearly the most extra middle schooler ever. 12 year old me would be very into that signature.

Forgot I had these books. I‘m halfway through the Jedi Path and I‘m enjoying it greatly. Looking forward to reading the other three in the picture

If you love Star Wars then you'll enjoy reading an in-depth look at the way of the Jedi Order. While including marginal notes from characters such as Luke and Obi Wai and Yoda and a few others, it's definitely an entertaining way to become (a bit) better acquainted with the philosophies of the Jedi.

I loved it.

12 year old me (and now me) are freaking out over this. It's a quick and fun read so far, going in depth into the Jedi Order.

Mehso-so

I thought it was enjoyable! To be honest, only go for it if you're a hard-core fan. I'm giving it a so-so primarily because there were sections, such as the one on keeping your clothing clean, that were slow, but it was chock-full of info and annotations from famous Jedi! It also came full of little props like Qui-Gon's padawan braid and a patch that belonged to Anakin! Suuuuper cool.
