DieAReader Great job!🎉🎉🎉 2y
TheAromaofBooks I read this one, too. They weren't bad stories, just very... in their time lol 2y
aperfectmjk @TheAromaofBooks yeah, I liked the one with the little bird, I think that was the second one. Also just noticed I got my wordsearch totals flip-flopped. Oh well, it all adds up. That's what happens when you're sick. 2y

Pickpick

This volume contains three short stories that take place around Christmas. Written in the late 1800s they are obviously rather old-fashioned (still trying to get my head around just popping down to the local orphanage to pick up a free servant....!!) but enjoyable nonetheless. The first two stories focus on the joys of generosity and kindness while the third is rather Black Beauty-ish as a horse is granted speech for the first hour of Christmas ⬇️

TheAromaofBooks (cont'd) Christmas day and tells her story to one of the daughters of the house.

Overall, enjoyable but nothing groundbreaking.

Pictured with my fake fire, one of the delights of my life on these gloomy, chilly days!!
