Wonderful addition to the series. It was nice to catch up with characters from previous books in the series.

Mehso-so

I liked this book much more than Alex, the first in the series. It probably has something to do with the angst. What can I say? I'm a sucker for angsty books 😂

I really wanted to like it. But.... so much sex. Scene one, good it's perfect for the plot and the angst the author is setting up. Scene two. Good one too. It establishes the hero's changing. Scene three... four... god not another one... five...skip, skip, repeat until the end. It drowned what the author wanted to show: the journey of a man who doesn't do relationship, commitment and the journey of a woman faced with a challenge, medical crisis.

CocoReads Well that's disappointing. 7y
Sace This review is hilarious. I'll be avoiding this book. I'm not a fan of sex in books. I feel like I'm invading privacy. 7y
writerlibrarian @CocoReads It was very disappointing. I loved the first book, Alex. A lot. This one, the author tried and had a good idea but man, i'm not a prude at all and this was too much. Add that the hockey could have not been there and welll... unlike Alex where hockey was an integral part of the story, here it's non existant. 😔 7y

CocoReads I've read Alex as well and I feel the same way. I'll probably give it a try at some point because I hate reading series books out of order but if that's going to be the trend, I may not finish series. 7y
rabbitprincess @RestlessFickleBookSlut That is exactly how I feel about sex scenes in books! 7y
writerlibrarian @RestlessFickleBookSlut I don't have a problem with sex scenes in books but in this case sometimes less is more. ☺️ 7y
Sace @rabbitprincess I honestly could never figure out why they made me uncomfortable and then last summer I was listening to an episode of the SBTB podcast and a guest made a comment about how her mom felt that way about sex scenes and it clicked for me. 7y
