pickA cozy mystery which seems to combine Lily Ivory and Stephanie Plum. The Lily in this book finds out one day that she is a witch. This starts a fun adventure on a secret island where Lily meets her real family and tries to stay alive. A quick fun read.

so-soUgh. I always think I will love cozy mysteries and then I'm forever meh at the end. This one took me ages to read despite the promise of magical booze. I bought the whole series because cheeky titles so we'll see how it goes but I'm not in a hurry to continue. It's another beautiful evening, here in West Texas, so I'm reading something a little lighter and watching the Boxers run around the yard. I hope you're all enjoying your weekend, as well!! pickThe idea of drinks threw me at first. it was a bit confusing as it felt like an alcoholic beverage. The mixologist is a potions crafter (Not your ordinary witchy woman), and a powerful one at that. This was well crafted without the too much or too little of other books. The characters are really interesting. This is the first of 3 I have read and,I must say, she really developed her characters well. Looking forward to book 4.
Some guilty pleasure reading! I was trying to save this for winter break but I had to start reading it as soon as I got it. 🤓 I am a big fan of Debora Geary's Modern Witch series and this remind me of those. 🍸🏖
