Being a triathlete is hard work, but someone‘s gotta do it. 😉😂
Love this series and looking forward to this one.
Ellery Adams is hit or miss for me except for with this series. I‘ve liked every book in it, including this one. With each book, we learn just a little bit more about each character. For the first time, we meet Nora‘s ex-husband, and he‘s pretty awful. The mystery was interesting but left threads out there that will probably come back to haunt the characters later. #audiowalk
There was a nice little Pride event going on at the pier across the bay when I went over there to walk today. I wondered why the traffic was a little heavier. I really dislike this new deputy Adams has added; she seems to hate pretty much all women. #audiowalk
The Secret Book and Scone Society is the only Ellery Adams series that I have found to be consistently good. This new one is shaping up to be another good one. The woman that Nora‘s ex-husband left her for shows up in town; she‘s terminally ill and has had a child. When she is killed, Nora is a suspect. #audiowalk
I enjoyed this 6th book in the series which brought trouble to Nora from her past. As usual, the Secret, Book, & Scone Society was on the case. I liked the addition of a neurodivergent boy & continue to love the main characters with all of their flaws. The book quotes that start chapters & the lists of books that bibliotherapist Nora finds for people are always a treat.📚❤️
Read for #SeriesLove2023 & finished during the #MagnificentMay #readathon
I am not loving this story line. It‘s a good thing I‘m invested in these characters or I‘d bail. I despise it when authors make cops the bad guys. The criminal justice profession has enough hurdles to overcome on its own without adding to the mix.
Paper Cuts, what a perfect title, is a wonderful cozy mystery filled with incredible characters. I love this series and can't wait until next April when I will get to visit Miracle Springs again.

Hubby is in getting lasik. Everyone in the waiting room is on their phone- meanwhile I‘ve finished my paperback and started on the new Ellery Adams🎉
It‘s been a while since I read a book in this series, so it was nice to checkin on the characters. Having so many books in this series, the characters have really grown and I enjoyed this one much more than the last one I read. The mystery was zippy and I liked how they were able to solve it without taking unnecessary risks. And also liked reading how everything ties together.
Book 6 in the Secret, Book and Scone Society. I love returning to Miracle Springs, NC and visiting Nora and her friends. I feel like they are old friends and we are catching up.
In this book, Nora encounters some people from her previous life in an interesting twist. Nora can‘t escape her past but with the help of her friends, she can embrace it lovingly.
This was perfect in so many ways but especially the growing and growth done. Book 141.

I posted prompts out of order & almost missed #BookLoversDqy 📚📖
This is one of my favorite cozy mystery series, perfect for book lovers. The tagged book is the newest in the series & comes out in April 2023.
