pickIt was between a soft pick and so-so. It was a bit dark for something categorized as cozy. Certain parts dragged but then relationships flipped in an instant. I may give book 2 a chance. At least this is off my TBR. 🤓

so-soThis was kind of dark for a cozy. Dark subject matter and dark relationships. Abby inherits a boatload of money so she buys a huge house on a beautiful cove with plans to turn it into a vacation destination. Someone else has other plans and keeps leaving disturbing signs that she needs to keep out. The main love interest was a bit red flag disturbing to me (imbalance of power) and there was animal abuse/harm. Like I said... dark cozy? 3 stars
pickA suspense that had much going for it, but I felt the turn about in relationships were much too fast to be believed. While on a hike with friends, Abby runs across an abandoned house over which she falls in love. Putting her relationship at risk, she purchases it and begins to make her dream a reality. However, there is some really creepy stuff going on around the property.
