When Aviva Davis and Holly Martin meet at the holiday pageant tryouts for their local senior's center, they think they must be seeing double. While they both knew they were adopted, they had no idea they had a biological sibling, let alone an identical twin! The similarities are only skin deep, though, because while Aviva has a big personality and even bigger Broadway plans, Holly is more the quiet dreamer type who longs to become a famous author like her grandfather. One thing the girls do have in common is their curiosity about how the other celebrates the holidays. What better way to discover the magic of the holidays than to experience them firsthand? The girls secretly trade lives, planning to stage a dramatic reveal to their families. Two virtual strangers swapping homes, holidays, and age-old traditions-what could possibly go wrong? Find out in this sweet as a sugarplum and satisfying as a latke middle grade novel by Marissa Meyer, #1 New York Times-bestselling author of The Lunar Chronicles, and Joanne Levy, award-winning author of Sorry for Your Loss and several other books for tweens.

4.5 ⭐Every generation needs a parent trap. Let it glow is a new take on the parent trap without trapping parent. We have two young girls, one whose grandmother lives at an assisted living facility and another whose grandfather is looking at living in the assisted living facility. They are both adopted. They are both 12 years old. And they meet for the first time at the assisted living facility and go you have my face.

LibrarianRyan You have my birthday. We must be twins. But how. These twins, both unique yet with some similarities a a plan to revealed to both their parents that hey there was a mistake when we were born. They‘re gonna reveal this at the play put on at the assisted living facility. In great parent trap fashion eventually the two do switch houses and nobody knows except for a young brother. This book was just fun. It is a holiday book which is why it‘s called 4d
LibrarianRyan Let it glow. One of our girls is trying to find her belief in Hanukkah. She was raised Jewish, but doesn‘t really feel Jewish and that is what she wants to gain this holiday season. The other sister Was raised with Christmas and Christmas tree trees. So switching they get to experience the other side. There‘s no other word for this besides Q. This book is cute from page one to the last. It‘s being read or it‘s being listened to. This is a book for 4d

3½✨

This was such a sweet little story. Not sure why but in my head it was little Lindsay Lohan playing the sisters. Maybe because it had some parent trap vibes.

The story did feel a bit to predictable and obvious, but I think Middle Grades would love it.

This is a fun & festive #MiddleGrade book for the holiday season! Adopted girls Aviva & Holly meet and realize they must be twins separated at birth. They decide to switch places to learn more about each other as well as Christmas and Hanukkah. The switching lives after just meeting wasn‘t very credible to me, but it was an incredibly heartwarming story.

* I received this #audiobook through the #Librofm Educator #ALC program. Duration: 8 hr 3 min

Daisey 📷: I listened to most of this book last weekend while also enjoying some snowy weather. 4w

It's that time of year! The tagged book is a fun Parent Trap story of twins separated and adopted at birth who discover each other at their grandparents' retirement home. One has been raised Jewish, the other secular, so swapping at the holidays has some big implications! But it's mostly sweet fun! I'd love to hear your holiday recommendations on this #middlegrademonday !

This was absolutely adorable. Usually, I find the twins separated at birth trope to be a little boring, but I was pleased with how this one was done. It is a cute middle grade story that explores both Hanukkah and Christmas.

This middle grade/holiday/realistic fiction story about identical twins separated at birth was fun and well-done. Read my full review here: https://debbybrauer.org/#let-it-glow
