05/100 Dan Jones never fails to entertain and educate. If you want to understand English History this is the author to read. Like Mary Beard with Roman History, Jones work is full of details, from major events like the Battle of Agincourt to seemingly minor things that had a big impact of Henry before he became King. Henry V was a complex man, full of contradictions, he was pious and religious, but he was also cruel, easily angered, and vengeful.

My December reading results were good for a busy month. I finished 16 books & started 2. I didn‘t quite get to everything I wanted but I read 3 books & a story for #SeasonalCozies & joined in #NancyDrewBR #SundayBuddyRead #Naturalitsy #MidWinterSolace & read all of my #Roll100 picks as well as completed my #BOTM challenge & #OUABC 40 book challenge.

I‘m midway through my #JolabokaflodSwap book & started the book from my #OUABC Up All Night Box.

This fun #jolabokaflodswap book was a very nice end to my “only silly holiday books in December” tradition for this year, and I‘d recommend it to anyone who loves a bit of spice in the romance. That being said, I did find the narrator inserts and the bits in verse a little jarring.

Moving lyrical memoir by a woman who was a competitive swimmer. Streaks of self destruction and glimmers of hope as she pursues a career as a writer. I could relate to the story a lot, having been a competitive gymnast and going through my own self destructive phases.

Very good read and glad I requested it for the #jolabokaflodswap!

I was going to do a book haul post for what I got for Christmas but I didn‘t get any books! 😳

I think people don‘t know what to buy because I‘m reading so much. Still, I‘m glad I did #jolabokaflodswap this year so at least I got one book!
