Boy Most Likely to
Boy Most Likely to | Huntley Fitzpatrick
The romantic companion to My Life Next Door great for fans of Sarah Dessen and Jenny Han. Tim Mason was The Boy Most Likely Tofind the liquor cabinet blindfolded, need a liver transplant, anddrive his car into a house Alice Garrett was The Girl Most Likely To . . .well, not date her little brother s baggage-burdened best friend, for starters. For Tim, it wouldn t be smart to fall for Alice. For Alice, nothing could be scarier than falling for Tim. But Tim has never been known for making the smart choice, and Alice is starting to wonder if the smart choice is always the right one. When these two crash into each other, they crash hard. Told in Tim s and Alice s distinctive, disarming, entirely compelling voices, this novel is for readers of The Spectacular Now, Nick and Norah s Infinite Playlist, and Paper Towns."

Riveted_Reader_Melissa I don‘t even know why I started looking them up, but they just seemed too random to be made up…thank you so much for the laugh this morning. 2y
Sharpeipup @riveted_reader_melissa Glad you got a laugh out of it too! How funny that they are real. 2y

I barely liked this book. I felt like the writing was a little disjointed and some sentences didn't make sense. Some scenes started out of nowhere or in the middle and I'd have to reread it multiple times to see if I read it right but it would still leave me confused.
Tim and Alice's love connection was lacking and they barely talked to one another.

I did like the other characters and it was nice to get them again in this sequel.

"I don't think Stony Bay's finest brother with the corn maze at Richardson's Farm"

This sentence makes no damn sense to me! And it isn't the first one I've read in this book.

Am I the only one who sees a problem with the sentence?

The husband and I decided to skip out of work early so we could attend the opening day of Oregon's Brewer's Festival.

I loved getting to know Tim and Alice better since they were both very intriguing in My Life Next Door. This book dealt with a lot of heavy issues (some better than others... What the heck was up with Brad? Why was there no closure there?) so it felt different from its predecessor and wasn't a rehash of it. I also felt like it was left kind of open ended for a potential third book? Fingers crossed- I love reading about the Garrett family!

I've been making pretty quote graphics for work for the past week or so, and I like it so much I thought I'd try make some for myself (plus it's good practice)!

I loved this scene, I thought it was funny and ultimately ended up being really sweet.

Okay, but real talk: why can't Jake and his partner adopt Cal? It would be perfect- Tim would be able to see him on a fairly regular basis but Cal would grow up with two parents who would actually want him (not that Tim and Hester aren't doing their best, but since they ARE looking into putting Cal up for adoption...).

I thought this was an amazing book, and it satisfied the urge I felt to read more about the residents of Stony Bay after finishing My Life Next Door. Obviously, this book wasn't perfect, and there were some parts that I was kinda iffy with-- Tim was a minor, already had a kid, and STILL decided to sleep with Alice. There were parts that hit close to home, and there were parts that were heartwrenching in all the ways a book should be. I loved it!

Something about summer teen romance makes for such a nice, easy read. Plus, striped covers get me every time.

I waited a good three years for this book to come out ever since reading MLND. I wanted more of Tim's story and was not disappointed in the least, though a few things threw me in terms of storyline. But the good definitely outweighed the bad.

booklover-of-life I would die if I had to wait three years way to stick it out girl 9y
