This horror manga is about a spiral consuming a town. It revolves around Kirie Goshima, her boyfriend, and her family. The chapters read like short stories, and showcase how this spiral entity is wreaking havoc on the town of Kurouzu-cho. Most chapters are dark, grotesque, and disgustingly mind-blowing. Others are campy and just plain gross. It definitely gave me the creeps which i take as a sign of a great horror!
Started this one. Junji Ito being a horror manga icon- i should have read this one a long time ago...
To be fair, I just recently have been gettiing into manga. I‘ve been missing out!
3/5 ⭐
A creepy read perfect for October.
All in one special edition.
Raiding my daughter's manga collection - she's recommended this for me as a good seasonal read 🎃👻🎃
My Junji Ito collection… IT GROWS.
This is the first manga I‘ve read and I‘m not sure how to feel about. The art and gore was obviously amazing, but the story seemed convoluted and nonsensical. I feel like the plot was all over the place and I was often confused..
Beautiful art in this horror graphic novel by Junji Ito. I can't wait to get into the story on this one! I've heard it's really good.

2. I cannot get over how creepy this is, so strange and twisted and Lovecraftian. That town just lives in my head rent-free now.
3. I think my opinions are pretty basic. I love cheesy 90s slasher movies - scream, final destination etc
4. Ghosts are the best, they‘re so classic and you can do so much with them. Vampires are a close second
5. I love scented candles if they‘re soy so im not allergic! Also love pretty notebooks

Junji Ito is the epitome of #Creepy there is no way around that LOL #ScreamathonPhotoChallenge @4thhouseontheleft
Bizarre! Some truly horrific death scenes and all around unsettling. The linework is very nice and the authors note at the end mentions they made this into a live-action movie. Curious about that, though some of the imagery might come off as cheesy. Unsure about continuing the series.
This #horror #manga was an amazing book! The writing is tight and well laid out, creating a terrifying experience from the beginning of each chapter to its end. With a mix of psychological horror and body horror, this book has something for all horror fans. I can't wait to get the next volume to see where the story goes!
If you like weird and creepy, then this graphic novel is for you!
