This mom is a whole mood
When I think of #goldspines , I go prehistoric...
My nephew loves this book! Bedtime is so much more fun reading about how dinos get ready for bed. 🦖

“No, dinosaurs don‘t. They don‘t even try. They give a big kiss. They turn out the light. They tuck in their tails. They whisper good night.”
This book would be great as a bedtime story for kids who love dinosaurs and/or are hard to put to sleep.
The book shows in the end that dinosaurs aren‘t fussy when they are put to bed, they kiss their parents and give hugs, and go to sleep. Kids may want to “act like a dinosaur” and go to sleep calmly just like a dinosaur would. Perfect for nap time/night time.
This book questions what dinosaurs do before bedtime. The book gives human emotions/attitudes reflecting a toddlers behavior before bed time. It was a very memorable book when it was read to me as a kid by my grandmother.
This one was better than the meal-time counterpart, and I was asked to read it twice!
I‘ve been testing books for pre-school story time at the library... on my niece and nephew. They‘re loving it!
How do dinosaurs say goodnight is such a cute poetic story and would be helpful for parents and teachers to use to show that even dinosaurs have bed times and have to say goodnight. This New York Times selling series is great for younger kids. UDL 7.1 "Optimize individual choice autonomy." And EL 10: "Teach think pair and share in a cooperative group" I would use this EL to her the students talking to one another about the story. TS-RA
This MF book won the Mockingbird award and I would best use this as a RA. It‘s a funny book but teaches kids the routine of going to bed. UDL-2.2. EL- 4. http://edu.glogster.com/glog/how-do-dinosaurs-say-goodnight/ksmphcb4e1 #UCFLAE3414F17
This children poetry book takes a peek into ten dinosaur families and their bedtime routines. Children will relate to the actions these dinosaurs take in order to postpone bedtime! Proper dinosaur names are used, which helps children learn them while having a good laugh! #UCFLAE3414F17
“How Do Dinosaurs Say Good Night?” is a great, fun read for your classroom, or even at home. For a quick fun activity for your students or kid. It is a cute story about how different dinosaurs say good night, in a rhyming way! It is a Fictional book written by Jane Yolen and illustrated by Mark Teague. EL: #2 UDL:1.3 here is a link to a little dinosaur activity : https://www.activityvillage.co.uk/dinosaur-feet-craft #ucflae3414f17
Here are books I've read and liked with "night" in the title, or that were written by a guy named Knight. Haha. And look I read Night of the Grizzlies and then some years later, I listened to the audio. (It's very, very good.) #tonighttonight #90sinjuly
How Do Dinosaurs Say Good Night is a MF by Jane Yolen, illustrated by Mark Teague. This would be a great book to use as a read out loud for young children as it takes children on the adventure of bedtime with Dinosaurs as characters. https://sites.google.com/a/schlowlibrary.org/teacher-resources/stories-more/how-... #UCFLAE3414sp17
