pickFinal book in the trilogy and it‘s the best by far.
King Henry is now out of the picture. Eleanor spends her time as Queen Mother and advisor to her children. Tons of tragedy for Eleanor, plus plenty of backstabbing and betrayal which has always been commonplace for life as a royal. My favorite part is the politics and decision-making in this installment, always with the goal of protecting borders. Great series, I really enjoyed my time with it.

pickI finished this final book from the Eleanor of Aquitaine series last night. Set in the Middle Ages ( c 1100 -1200) I loved this time & this story. Eleanor was a queen & a warrior & a mother. I‘m tearful as I write this.... she suffered so many losses & still found beauty in life. ❤️
I think the best has been saved for last in this trilogy.... halfway through... the most beautiful writing so far ... and the woman takes flight ❤️❤️❤️

I finished the 1st book in this 3 book series in 2 days and am just starting the 2nd now. Great historical fiction about a very popular character, Eleanor of Aquitaine.
