One Hundred Years of Solitude | Gabriel Garcia Marquez

I really wanted to like this book, especially because I have a pin on my jacket for it. But it was like when you wake up and try to remember your dream but it makes no sense but you write it all down anyway….yeah it was like that. Many thoughts that were jumbled together with just a few connections. I quit and didn‘t finish it. Book #107 in 2024

Finally got to read book #3 in the Beezus & Ramona series: Ramona the Brave! These stories are so cute and Ramona truly was brave - she was in first grade after all. My great-niece starts first grade tomorrow. I know she will be brave, too. She loves school! #107 #BookSpinBingo #23 #TAILSandTALESforADULTS #34 #SERIES2021 #HSREADATHON

#107 of 2020. Wow just wow! I read this book in one sitting. This book is everything it seems and yet nothing it seems. “Ohh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive.” That quote sums it up! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This book was so many things. With brutal battles and characters having to claw their way out & through the most fucked up things just to prove themselves, the humor of the narrator and main character, Mia, it all just makes you want to dive into the book so you don‘t miss a thing. I loved it so much.

Caffeinated_Reader I can‘t wait to read the next two books.
The last 100 pages or so had me wanting to smoke a cigarette...and I don‘t even smoke!!! Intense to say the least. I can‘t believe it took me so long to read this damn book.

#107 and I‘m already on page 40 lol I totally forgot to post before I began to read so oops lol I absolutely love all of Michael Connellys books. Especially the Harry Bosch series and this one has not only him, Renee Ballard but also his brother Mickey Haller 😱😱😱 I am so excited and ready for this adventure.

Caffeinated_Reader Damn. Michael Connelly has a way of writing so that when you begin a book it‘s got enough of a grab that you want to keep reading it but enough of a slow burn so if you need to put it down you don‘t feel bad lol then he takes the ending and forces you to sit and bite your nails while anxiously finishing it. Guh!!! 5y
Caffeinated_Reader The beginning had me crying right off lol and then the ending I was seriously balling my eyes out it was so intense. Bravo. Another top notch ride! Harry Bosch and Renee Ballard together is a dynamite combo 😅 5y

Amazed that I found this at the library and I could check it out without any holds! I put the audiobook on hold last night and I'm #107 in line, so this was a sweet surprise.

2017 #107 NF audio this story is insane and to think that it was happening all the way into the 1970s is even more so. Gut wrenching and well documented, this book covers the entirety of radium and it's effects on the women (hate the use of girls), the families, their communities, and the legislative process that continued to fail them. Heartbreaking.
