Castles in Their Bones | Laura Sebastian

Pickpick

Finished 2 books yesterday. I decided to read the Simply Christmas devotional starting Nov. 1st so that I could finish on Dec. 1st otherwise I may not have finished. Castles in Their Bones is the first book in a trilogy and I am anxiously awaiting its sequel. It is about a mother using her 3 triplet daughters to gain an empire. There‘s stardust magic and intrigue. Very good! #113 #BookSpin #AlmostAChunkster #BFC22 #WinterReadathon

TheAromaofBooks Oooo that does sound good! 1y

KateReadsYA I cannot wait for book 2 either. The ending was amazing 1y

Allylu @KateReadsYA I thought so, too!! 1y
DieAReader Great job!📚🎄🤓 1y
KateReadsYA I was thinking about book 2 today and am so irritated that I did not write down a character list from book 1! Did you happen to note every single character because there were so many and I feel like I won't remember them all by the time book 2 is released.?!?! 1y
Allylu I have the book. I could work up a list for us. 1y
KateReadsYA @Allylu oh no I'd hate for you to go through that trouble! Thank you though that's so nice 🤩 1y

Mehso-so

This was a relatively short audiobook, but I couldn‘t get into it. I must be spoiled by full cast audiobooks because it seemed as though it all sounded the same. No excitement where there should have been some. 🤷‍♀️ #113 #BFC21 #5 #SuperSeptember #FallIntoReading

wanderinglynn Disappointing narration is too bad. 3y
EadieB That is disappointing! 3y

in which we learn more about Stacey's backstory and wonder why the mother of a newborn would hire an 8th grader (and then a 7th grader) to take care of the baby

(I enjoy these graphic novels very much and feel good about my decision to focus on them rather than the og novels.)

(quarantine book #113; read a book featuring a character with a chronic illness)

#113 of my year. This is an Owlcrate exclusive edition also signed by the author! It‘s so luxurious in person, definitely book porn...my favorite kind lmao. I‘m listening to Make Yourself by Incubus 🌻💛✨

Caffeinated_Reader Meh it was very cool to read about. The main character, El, was my favorite. The only irritating part was she tends to be in her own head so a lot of description and backstory while little dialogue between characters. Which I mean I can totally relate to lmao 4y
Caffeinated_Reader but I read books to escape that habit sooooo yeah...4 stars. I am looking forward to the next book but you figure with that ending “she” should have said that like a whole hell of a lot sooner lol so yeah, it was good. 4y
