so-soOnce I started ignoring the sexism, racism and effusive descriptions of Doc's perfect qualities, then I was able to enjoy this first story in the Doc Savage series as a fun adventure story. It is very much a product of its times, and people tell me that the series gets better.

pickI don‘t think I ever got around to posting a review for the first Pat book, so I‘ll review both now.
When we first meet Pat she‘s 6 yrs old and when the story ends she in her late 20s. She doesn‘t like change, love her family and friends and Christmas.
So there‘s not much happening in these books, but I loved them and Pat, Jingle and Judy.
