I still have books on the go from 2017, but these will be my #FirstReadoftheYear. I knew I'd like Rupi Kaur's poetry, but Bridget Jones? It's not the sort of thing I usually go for. I'm trying to read outside my go-to genres though, so why not? Much to my surprise, I've started enjoying it; even lol'd once. writerlibrarian Rupi Kaur's poetry is wonderful and emotional. Bridget I read in zigzag a long time ago. I rather read the inspiration aka Austen. Bridget is funny but a bit too hysterical for my taste. 6y

tomes4gnomes Oh yeah, this book sounds right up my alley. Regarding drowning in TBR piles at home, I just went through all of my shelves and culled 45 titles that I‘ve had for so long, I‘m not even interested in reading them anymore. It felt liberating. And it means there is room for the new! 6y
