I have had this on loop all day. 250 years later, and we're still fighting this. Thanks to all who went out there today to fight the good fight. I got blindsided with a hellacious cold and didn't want to spread my germs, but I've been there in spirit. #resist 💙✊🏻♥️

ChaoticMissAdventures I live in Portland Oregon so we are pretty learned in the protest ways. I was Bail Friend today. Meaning I hang out, all my friends have my number written on their arm and if they get arrested or sent to hospital I am in charge of organizing their release. We rotate Bail Friend duties. It has been a quiet day and all my people are done for the day so that feels good. 5mo

A low pick for this library book, a graphic bio focusing specifically on the author's experience of breaking into animation work in LA.
This could have been too niche, but, while there is zero chance of this being my new life direction (🤣), the specificity about a career, city & lifestyle utterly different to my own was of interest.
Text heavy, with lots of career tips, but mercifully short enough that I only skipped a few pages at the end! 🤫

The Secret of Kells: The Graphic Novel | Tomm Moore, Nora Twomey

so-so

2.5 ⭐Apparently this graphic novel is based on a movie. I have not seen the movie. The artwork in this book is lovely. However, the story is at times hard to follow. I think so much has been cut from the movie to make the book fit within a certain set of page numbers. Parts of the story are confusing, and it feels like we‘re missing pieces. Overall, the book is beautiful, but it was not as satisfying read.
