In this novella we further delve into Zsadist's psyche. Since the birth of Nalla, Z has not feed from Bella and he calls Nalla Bella's young not his child or their child. Yet he still allows Bella to feed from him. Doc Jane talk to Z about this and suggests that he talk to Mary. Jane also suggests that he might be able to have the slave tattoos removed with the new lasers. When he rebuffs her attempt to help him..

TheSpineView ... Jane says she will have him benched because he needs to take care of his health in order to be able to fight. Bella has a candid discussion with Phury about Z. She tells him that Z is still having nightmares and he will not hold or touch Nalla. Bella is worried about Nalla growing up with a father who is physically present but emotionally unavailable. Bella feels like she is almost back to square one with Z. She is beginning to think Z no... 4mo

TheSpineView ...finds her attractive. After another nightmare and Z unwilling to talk to her, she tells him that she will leave him, for Nalla's wellbeing, if things don't improve. Zsadist is injured while raiding a lesser's home. He doesn't want to go Haver's becuase he receives a text that Bella is moving out. He tells Phury what is going on and has Mary stop her. Once back at the mansion, they have a reconciliation. Z tells Bella that he can't live.. 4mo

TheSpineView ...without her. He finally gets help from Mary and the nightmares end. After a trip to a human doctor, Z realizes that the tattoos can't be removed. Mary helps him handle how he will discuss the slave bands and scars when Nalla is old enough to ask. He is now able to connect with him daughter. I enjoyed getting another look into Zsadist. I was glad that he finally had someone to talk to about the horrors he faced while a slave. Phury could have benefited from therapy too. I also like how Wrath described the feelings of a bonded male. It explains a lot of the possessiveness, dedication and fierceness the vampires display over mates. 4mo

Laughterhp I totally forgot to read this one in December. 4mo

ShananigansReads The heartbreak I felt for Z when the laser removal didn‘t work. (It did not lesson as a reread) He handled it so beautifully. It shows how far he has come. I also love his relationship with Nalla, once he allowed it. She is totally a daddy‘s girl. 4mo

Lover Avenged is the next book we will be reading in January. This is Rehvenge's story though I am sure we will get more on the other characters too. It is 527 pages long and has 74 chapters which means reading roughly 2.5 chapters a day or 17 pages a day. My reading schedule will be: Week one - read 18 chapters, week two - 18 chapters, week 3 - 19 chapters and the remaining chapters the last week of January. Enjoy
