I‘m so exited that #WinterGames2024 are going to start in just a few weeks and to be a part of team #HolidayBookDragons

I‘m looking forward to the games, the teams, earning points and reading as much as I can.

4.5 🌟While the cover of this book clearly indicates it takes place in October this book could be read at any time. A little boy meets Griselda, who is opening a brand-new bookstore. He doesn‘t like to read, but with Griselda‘s help he‘s going to find a book just for him. But first they must have a little fun and magic in the bookshop. This book was lovely, and the illustrations are adorable.

A charming, reflective picture book celebrating family heritage and Japanese-American culture with beautiful illustrations. It was sweet seeing this intergenerational day of making mochi and reflecting on loved ones who passed away. As a bonus, I always love food illustrations. #PictureBook #Japan #Mochi

Fascinating memory of noodle delivery in the first half of the 20th C Japan. It will leave you hungry for soba.

Susanita Looks interesting! 1mo
mandarchy @Susanita it really is, I have never heard of the noodle delivery guys in Japan. There are photos and their towers are remarkable. I couldn't imagine crashing. 1mo

The Great Pasta Escape | Miranda Paul

this book would be a good read if you have just a little time to fill during your school day. It also teaches students about the importance of teamwork and collaboration. Also could be evolved into a cool hands-on activity with all the different types of pasta.

Week 2: Picture Book! this is a silly story about pasta trying to escape. Throughout this story, they explain a plan of their escape from humans. The story is used for comedy. Not much of a plot behind the story. Published August 29, 2017.
