Well, I didn't finish any of my #CastTheDie numbers, but I did at least clear the list. 😂 (We Only Kiss at Christmas turned out to be a sequel, but I tried the proceeding book and didn't get into it. so likely I won't end up reading it.) I'll try A Winter's Promise again another time, I think.

I think my opinion of this may be slightly tarnished by the fact I had a slightly dodgy digital copy that repeated the entire book twice through- so I got to the end thinking I was only halfway and it therefore felt a bit abrupt! An interesting read, but no real plot, and I definitely preferred the bonesetter‘s daughter.

Four enjoyable fantasy/romance novellas; three are connected to series, but can be read as stand alones. (Though I suspect Jeffe Kennedy's story is better if you know the characters.) I'm eager to read Eliabeth Hunter's urban fantasy now.

I'm enjoying the unique Venitian outlook on life, love and death. And I love his family. It wasn't very LGBTQ friendly, this episode, but not because of our hero, but rather the attitudes of others, so that made that bearable.
