Too funny to not share.

It‘s been years and years and YEARS since I made out so well at the Children‘s Hospital Book Market! I shelled out $46.50 for every volume of SKIP BEAT! I was missing, every Nero Wolfe mystery priced at $1, the last two in Charles Stross‘s Merchant Princes series, two harmonica books, two volumes of sheet music, a volume of modern (to 1963) African poetry, a Mexican cookbook, and Nigella‘s Christmas cookbook.
I‘m happy.
Library Book Sale Haul Part 3:
Aha! Gotcha: Paradoxes to puzzle and delight by Martin Gardner
The Saturday Evening Post Small-Batch Canning & Freezing Cookbook by Charlotte Turgeon
Delphi: Monuments and Museum by Photios Petsas
Thessalonike Museum by Manolis Andronicos
The last two are museum guides to two famous Greek locations, both of which I have been lucky to visit.
Overall, a good haul!
Always at work, always reading this book
But I'm close to finishing it, so I can then focus on other books.
I'm not enjoying it as much as I thought, but it's not too bad. Just very english-centered ig.
I also have a date for my move to Germany and I'm very nervous and excited. Need to translate my resume and start sending out applications 😅
One of my absolute favorite recipes out of this cookbook. Almost entirely pantry essentials except for the lemon, ready in ten minutes, and makes fantastic leftovers!

9 hour shift... After yesterday's 8 hours one and a prev day that was just as tiring
Trying to read some more of this book. I think I made good progress
Malaysian meal courtesy of tagged book:
Nasi Ayam (chicken boiled in an aromatic stock then roasted; the resulting stock consumed as soup on the side; rice made with spices & that stock, chili sauce & cucumber) served with bamboo shoot coconut curry 👌V. nice but v. time-consuming!
