On my way to Albuquerque, I was listening to Books in the Freezer podcast where one of the guests was saying that her cozy horror pick for her chilling obsession was reading this book. That the first story was about a village who on the 2nd Tuesday of every February spends its day baking cakes for this swarm of fairies that come and eat them. Well this year the supply truck doesn‘t come and the fairy swarm comes and kills, KILLS, all the 👇🏼

Reggie parents. The children are left alone because fairies don‘t kill children,uh duh. Chilling. Found it at the library in the children‘s section. I‘m about 5 stories in and they‘re all wonderfully creepy. (edited) 13h

CoverToCoverGirl Cozy horror?? Terrifying.. 🤓 10h
vivastory Haven't read this one, but the title reminds me how happy I am that we are getting a second season of the del toro show this year!....

I went to go post the above, but I double checked it first for a release date & apparently I must have dreamt this 😭

Reggie @TheBookHippie @AmyG @CoverToCoverGirl it was kinda funny because after this guest told the podcast about it the other guest said, all I got from that was that I need to eat cake. And funny enough the first section of the book is called Cake. The second story was pretty good, also. It‘s called The Cake Made of Teeth. 7h
Reggie @ImperfectCJ I hope you like it! It also goes well with a margarita. lol 7h
Reggie @vivastory it‘s definitely middle school but I‘m really liking it. The Mandela effect has struck again!!!!! I remember liking the alien episode of that. 7h

I listened to this one . It‘s one I definitely turned down at stop lights! It‘s a Dark romance… not as dark as I thought it would be after listening to some people talk about it but still would have a lot triggers for people , so recommend looking into that before diving in. This book roped me and was full of spice! The male narrator‘s voice is the stuff of fantasy and will live rent free in my head🔥

5feet.of.fury The audio duet is just so good. I loved this one 1d
julesG @5feet.of.fury Agree. I wouldn't have rated the book so high if it wasn't for the narration. 1d
ElizaMarie These books work best in Audio ( I love those voices!!)

Perfection. Just plain perfection. This book was very quick to read and it was amazing because if you turn certain pages in the light, you can see hidden things like dragons, spiderwebs, etc. The few words in this book just flowed beautifully with the pictures. Well done!
