LiterRohde @Cinfhen It is more academic sounding than a novel, but it‘s about a man who had the courage to bring music and life into one of the darkest places - a Nazi prison camp. But I have definitely noticed that Litsy as a whole deems my my less heady quotes more popular. (edited) 6y

Cinfhen Ha!! The truth is that sounds like a really important and necessary read and one I might enjoy if only the writing was a bit “dummied” down. I just down have all that brain power anymore 😜 6y

mcctrish I remember watching this movie on tv and being a bit young to totally understand it but it still having an impact on me . I kept thinking about it afterwards, the way books do and realizing there was a whole other level of movie out there 6y

gradcat @mcctrish It really was an excellent movie, but I was the same as you—too young to understand. If you watch it again sometime, I think you‘ll see why it left an image on your young brain even if you didn‘t fully understand it. It‘s so powerful & quite sad. 6y

seydoggy I grew up listening to and reading the works of Cohen. My mom was a super fan. I didn't give him much thought as an adult until the day he died. Then I put on a Spotify playlist and finally learned why my mom put me through such exposure as a child. 6y
