Although there were some funny & okay parts to this, it really fell flat for me.

I love Ellen & this is just what I needed today. Definately recommend the audiobook! During many parts, my mind‘s 👁 could quite clearly see Dory🐟🤣🤷🏻♀️
I used to be an avid watcher of The Ellen show, I loved her humour and the way she engaged with her guests and the audience. I expected to love this book also and to find myself laughing at almost every chapter. Sadly this wasn't the case, there were a few laugh out loud moments but overall I found it to be rambly and unengaging, a bit of a disappointment. #seriouslyimkidding #tea_sipping_bookworm #bookstagram #bookqueen #amazon#kindle #litsy ⭐
Although in my library's autobiography/memoir section, this book is neither. While Ellen does touch on her personal life, this book really is more a book of essays. I felt a good deal of this book was a rambling mess. At times, I felt she was trying to be philosophical or deep but mixed with humor. But it's not stand-up humor funny. And I didn‘t think the mix worked. 2 stars. Full review on GR.
Book 1 for #awesomeAugust
Meh. I liked her other ones better. If I‘m even remembering correctly.
“Gratitude is looking on the brighter side of life, even if it means hurting your eyes.”
I read two of Ellen's book back to back and honestly I couldn't tell them apart. They are a collection of completely random thoughts, which seem to be parody versions of the actual incident.
'What doesn't kill you puts you in a whole lot of pain and makes you cry a lot and want to crawl in a hole forever and live with rodents.”
“What would happen if you put hand lotion on your feet? Would your feet get confused and start clapping?“
If you‘re looking for a light, feel-good book, this is it. This book is a bunch of absurd disorderly ideas.
“Accept who you are. Unless you're a serial killer.”
It's hilariously entertaining and can't help to share this one page about our broken social skills. I need my whisky 🤭🤭
If you‘re looking for a light, feel-good book, this is it. The content is quite random, but I love Ellen‘s humor.
Hilarious. Would highly recommend if you love Ellen or just love to laugh.
