I am behind in my posts, so you'll be seeing a lot from me today. 😍#gaminginthelitworld Ripper is the name of the online game Amanda and her pals play unearthing clues and solving murders. One in particular... #octphotochallenge Set in San Francisco's North Beach plus its Allende and, while not her best, I liked it anyway.
Thinking of #GamingintheLitWorld, I recalled Gahan of Gathol from the Chessmen of Mars. He was captured & forced to play Jetan (Martian chess) with a twist: he & his men were the pieces in a fight to the death. Chessmen is one of the better Barsoom books, but my copy has an #uglycover! Jetan made me think of wizard chess from HP & quidditch, of course! I always thought it would be cool to see McGonagall play - just imagine it! #OctPhotoChallenge
#octphotochallenge Day 13 I wasn't sure I would enjoy this graphic novel about gaming when I picked it up, but I absolutely did. #gaminginthelitworld
#gaminginthelitworld #octphotochallenge so I grew up with an old Atari. I remember getting our first Nintendo. My aunt bought them as combined bday gifts for bro and me. And it was fun. But you never forget Atari with its games like PAC-man and Qbert.
#gaminginthelitworld I love how Williams plays with concepts of identity and representation in cyberspace, especially cyber gaming. In rpgs, there's a character, and then there's their avatar, and that adds a nice dimension - I particularly love Sam! Photo from the coverart for Book 2 in the series. #octphotochallenge
I'm pretty sure there were days as a child where all I did was play The Little Mermaid on my Nintendo! #octphotochallenge #gaminginthelitworld
I'm a day late so I'm doing both of the #octphotochallenge categories today. For #gaminginthelitworld I chose Armada. This is a book I won via an online contest through the publisher. I didn't think it was as good as Ready Player One, and almost seemed too similar to Ender's Game. The second book, Name of the Wind, is on my TBR list, but fits the #scifi / #fantasy requirement.
The husband really came through with lots of #gaminginthelitworld books. Take your pick! Between us we can almost cover all the photo challenge topics. #octphotochallenge
I had no idea what to do for #GamingInTheLitWorld but my roommate said that Scott Pilgrim is also a video game, so I'm going with it. #OctPhotoChallenge
