Dirty, creepy, little sponge! 🧽🌚

Characters felt realistic. The family & Margaret's friendship with Diane made everything feel alive.
I loved how oppressive atmosphere was: Margaret & Casey were living alone with their father and he was acting strangely and I could feel their anxiety.
This was pretty straightforward story.

That was the most intense 20 minutes trying to secure at least 2 tickets (was trying to get 4). RL Stine is coming to Frederick, MD at the end of October to do a reading & then book signing (through our public library). The site kept crashing. I somehow got through but tickets sold out in 20 minutes. Happy that I was lucky enough to get 2. Phew

Got my hair done today. Jett was very uninterested in staying still for a selfie. 😅
Characters weren't really fleshed out but I still could relate to siblings who were main characters. When Amanda was arguing with her brother it was like walking down on memory lane 😅
The beginning wasn't as good as the last part of the book. This was a mysterious story and all the time creepier and creepier... I loved the ending, it was somehow disturbing!

I enjoyed it, although the end was a bit odd - was there a recent family tragedy which makes for a really sad event? Unsure, unexplained. Aside from that it was fun enough. A couple of prankster kids with a fascination for ghosts and the local haunted house. I may have the positive feeling primarily because this was read to me, drifting off to sleep with Goosebumps being read aloud was really nice.
