Hello everyone. I'd be interested to know your thoughts on Pre-orders. I did Pre-orders for the first time with Ninja School Mum, which was wonderful, and am about to do it again with, If you love me, I'm yours.

What would make you order a book before it's available in bookstores or Amazon? Any top tips about what you look for? For me it's an eye catching cover and great blurb, but I wondered if there were other factors? #GroupHug #ManyThanks

TrishB Favourite authors mainly! I follow some authors on fb and they say that preorders are helpful so I always try to do! 7y
LizzieChantree @TrishB Thanks Trish. That's great news. Pre-orders are so important as they support the launch of the book and make it become more visible across Amazon. This in turn widens the reach to other book lovers. You are helping authors to be able to keep writing! 7y
julesG Favourite author, next part of a series that I love are the main reason for my pre-orders. Or a really enticing blurb/ARC review. 7y

wanderinglynn I pre-order my fave authors & series. I also pre-order when there‘s something special - like getting a signed edition, a special early edition, extras, etc. As others have mentioned, pre-orders are super helpful for authors & I love to support my faves! 7y
Kaye I only do a pre-order if it‘s an author I really like, or a true crime book I‘m waiting on. It‘s hard to find as many new ones on the genre as there used to be, so those are usually what I look for. 7y
Lynnsoprano I have 3 favorite authors I do pre-orders for. One i started reading after I received her first book as a gift, the second was a recommendation by the first author 😄, and the third I tried after reading an intriguing review. I don‘t think I would pre-order if I weren‘t familiar with the author‘s work. For two of these authors, I‘ve preordered books in new series, but only because of trusting their books. 7y
swynn I've occasionally pre-ordered books after an especially intriguing review, when I was worried I'd forget about the book before its release date. Other than that, favorite authors. 7y
LizzieChantree @julesG Thanks Jules. I've begun the sequel to Ninja School Mum after being asked by readers, so I guess Pre-orders might appeal to them too. 7y
LizzieChantree @wanderinglynn It's great to hear of the support you all give to your favourite authors. #YouRock 🌟 7y
DGRachel I preorder favorite authors and favorite series. Like @TrishB I saw authors talking about how much preorders helped them, so I preorder as much as possible. I don‘t typically preorder books for authors I haven‘t read, though. 7y
LizzieChantree @Kaye Thanks for helping. 🌸📚 7y
LizzieChantree @Lynnsoprano Good point. It helps if you know the authors work already and have enjoyed it. 7y
LizzieChantree @swynn That is why reviews are so important. People don't always realise how much they help authors to find new readers. Not only that, they give us a boost to start again with a new story. 7y
LizzieChantree @DGRachel Thank you. It's really helpful for authors to know to spread the word on the importance of pre-orders. I will make a meme and post it here and on Twitter etc at some point. 7y
