Read at the beginning of the month. Mixed feelings. Some parts were repetitive. All the characters are terrible, you would not like to have them as friends😳Some twists were predicted to me, others not. The end is a reflection of our characters antisocial personalities. It has good pace. 3.8 ⭐️

3rd book read during #SuperSeptember Readathon @Andrew65
I liked this one but not loved it. I liked the mystery, how it was developed and some parts of the end. I was not connected in that relationship between Hannah and Will. Sometimes I couldn‘t stand Hannah and her irresponsible decisions during her pregnancy. Maybe who did it was for me an old cliché used in thrillers. But I like this author writing style. I enjoyed the audiobook. 3.7/3.8⭐️

Gissy #LiterallyDeadBookClub I think they haven discussed the book yet in YouTube.

I liked the story, in general, and how author developed the characters. However, I expected a thriller. Sometimes it doesn‘t work for me when there are other elements or genres in the story🤷🏽‍♀️If you liked Behind Her Eyes, you will like this one. 3.5/3.8⭐️

I like this author and her writing style. I know their stories can be slow, they are more character driven but with unlikely characters. As in Penance, we see revenge, morally questionable in their motives to justify their actions. I couldn‘t put it down. It was like a study of disturbed personalities caused for the presence of various factors. There social criticism. I can understand the mixed reviews but in my case I liked it. 4⭐️
