Oh @ljuliel really has me thinking this morning. I made up a list of things I want to do to be a better citizen of Litsy (#Litizen?) And with this non-book post I've already failed at one 🤣

ljuliel Thanks. This list is great. I wouldn‘t say it‘s non- book related, as it‘s meant to be a way to breathe new life into Litsy, which just happens to be a book group. So there is a connection ! I‘m not saying we should never post anything else. I like seeing pets ,etc myself. I‘m just trying to even the teeter - totter out a bit and give books a bit more of a platform than they‘ve had for awhile. Great job 👏🏻 5y

Sace @ljuliel I feel like I want to exercise caution about "breathing new life." I do think transience is the nature of the internet. Not sure if that can be fixed. I understand the feeling of loss when people leave. There has to be a balance though because so many people are still here. Even I've had to struggle with staying when it started to feel less intimate. It's one reason I unfollow and mute hashtags. 5y

Sace @Chrissyreadit my off and on involvement with LT colors a lot of how I feel about and interact on Litsy. I started in LT way back in the early 2000s(?), left for a bit and came back. For me it always boils down to reading and books. Games and alongs are secondary to me. (Though a do dabble in them occasionally.) 5y

Sace @UnidragonFrag it's actually a list I started a couple weeks ago when I noticed myself getting annoyed by some things. I decided I wanted to be the change I wanted in the Litsy world 🤣 5y
night_shift @Sace I feel you! Lately it's been feeling more hashtags and somewhat cliquey, which isn't how I remember when I first joined. Would love for it to go back, at least some! And you're right, we should be the change :) this has been the most interaction I've had on here in a while :) 5y
Sace @UnidragonFrag I try not to get hung up on "cliquey" because I feel like that's a self fulfilling prophecy at times. I know myself well enough to know that I'm just using it as an excuse sometimes. Now if someone legit ignores me I'm like f*ck it, I have my books to be my friends ? 5y
