#fortheloveofbookmarks Day 14 #magnetic I have to laugh I used to have more.I already used Jesus in a previous post.Grumpy Cat came in a set of 3 , I gave one to mom and can‘t find the other one . I used to have that cute Harry Potter set they made a few years ago , then gave it to someone who I felt would appreciate it more! 😁

Thanks for the tag @Crazeedi - I was mowing grass yesterday so I didn‘t get a chance to post. 🦋

The art is perfectly aligned with how the story feels. Dream like, breezy, weightless, and soft. While there are definitely supernatural creatures, sword fights and nightmares the overall story doesn't feel dark or hopeless.

I think there are places in the novel where one might want an explanation for how/why what is happening is happening. But the landscape of this world is surreal, much like a dream. You don't need to understand to feel.

A dark and disturbing look at what lies in the deep. This book started out a bit slow and derivative. I kept being pulled out of the story...”oh, that reminds me of”...now, back to the story. But the book eventually came into its own and made it a pick. I will never be able to look at guinea pigs the same way ever again (See my post for #QuotsyDec18 | 7: #Magnetic ). And the bees, oh, the bees.

A solid graphic fantasy story with stellar art. Mila meets a ghost and is pulled into a quest to save the king of the sea. It's only bogged down by a squashed queer love story. Spoilers as to how below.
