PageShifter This touched me, because at the moment my grandmother is living in the hospital and we are just trying to make her last part of life more comfortable. I planned to visit her next weekend (if she's still living) and read some classic at her?! She can't communicate that much anymore but she would know that someone is with her. 2y

SamAnne Wonderful to read to her. When my Dad was passing the nurse told me that hearing is the last sense to go. Word from experience: if a love done is hard of hearing, make sure they keep the hearing aids in. 2y

PageShifter Thank you for your kind words @peanutnine @dabbe and @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks And @SamAnne thank you for the hint!! Grandmother has had problems with hearing quite a long time!! For me that has been hard because I don't usually yell when I speak but others did seem to be fine with it. And now when she doesn't communicate like she used to it's hard to know how much she hears. But if she has never had a hearing aid, can you start using it now? 2y
