Victoriahoperose Hope those help 😊 2w
BookDragonNotWorm One Of Us Is Lying by Karen McManus, Ten and #MurderTrending by Gretchen McNeil, and the Truly Devious series by Maureen Johnson are all really good. 2w
Chrissyreadit @Victoriahoperose @BookDragonNotWorm Yes 🙌🙌🙌🙌Thank you!!! 2w
Victoriahoperose @BookDragonNotWorm I second #murdertrending. Gretchen McNeil is great! 2w
Megabooks Possibly or We Were Liars, too. 2w
BookDragonNotWorm Glad to help! I agree with @megabooks - We Were Liars was SO good! 2w
Bookzombie I have a lot of these on my TBR but haven‘t read many. I did read #murdertrending and recommend it. I also read Ten by the same author and liked it. It‘s a YA retelling of Christie‘s And Then There Were None. 2w
dragondrool What Waits in the Woods and What Waits in the Water (Scott); Ten; April Henry's books; The Christopher Killer series (Ferguson). 2w
marleed Oh this YA HF has some mystery in it. 2w
grumpygirlbooks In the Hall With the Knife by Diana Peterfreund, the Charlotte Holmes series by Brittany Cavallaro, One of Us is Lying by Karen McManus, Truly Devious by Maureen Johnson, There‘s Someone Inside Your House by Stephanie Perkins - and it‘s not gritty at all but I always have to rec The Westing Game if she hasn‘t read it lol 2w
Nashly_X One of us is lying- Karen McManus 2w
JaneyWaneyB I'm with @Nashly_X One of Us is Lying is a good book for a teenager and just seen there is a second book I might need to take a gander at too 2w
Nashly_X @JaneyWaneyB
Yes, Both books should be taken into consideration!
2w
Bette So many good ones recommended already, I'd add Buzzkill by Beth Fantaskey, and Trouble is a friend of mine by Stephanie Tromly. 2w
maich I love these. And there is also TV show based by thid series 2w
Lizpixie I second the Karen McManus books, she also has this one 2w
LibrarianRyan Hey sorry I‘m late to the game most of the ones on the top of my head have been mentioned but there is also The cheerleaders. I‘ll think of some more and get back to you 2w
Megabooks Definitely this one too, although it is pretty dark. Excellent audiobook, though! 2w
LibrarianRyan Now that I am out of bed, showered and have my caffeine, lets do this. The ones above are great (even the ones I didn't like) but lets add, All Fall Down (series), I Hunt Killers (s), A madness so desecrate, the Sally Lockheart mysteries by Pullman (s), Pretty much anything Lois Duncan, The Name of the Star (s), The Naturals (s), Jackaby (s), People Like Us, Confessions of a Murder Suspect (s), Vanishing Girls, the Diviners (s), the Agengy (s), T 2w
LibrarianRyan These shallow graves, Wink Poppy Midnight, the Maya Dyer books, The charlotte holmes books, there is someone inside your house, Liars Inc, Ten, Conspiracy of Us, and the Body Finder. 2w
Gissy Truly Devious? 2w
Chrissyreadit @Megabooks @Bookzombie @dragondrool @marleed @grumpygirlbooks @Nashly_X @JaneyWaneyB @Bette @maich @Lizpixie @LibrarianRyan @Gissy 🙏 thank you🙌❤️I have shared the list and promised a trip to the used bookstore as well!! I‘m so happy to get her reading again!!! Her step monster used to punish her by taking books away so she gave up on it - but now she lives in our home where books are like air and water ! 2w
dragondrool @Chrissyreadit Grateful to hear she has a fabulous aunt like you. She'll turn out just fine. 2w
Bookzombie @Chrissyreadit That‘s definitely a step monster. I‘m so glad she has you! 💗 @LibrarianRyan I 2w

I definitely didn‘t enjoy this book as much as the first one. It just didn‘t keep me on the edge of my seat like the first book did from the very beginning. I also didn‘t really like the characters as much. I love this author and I would definitely keep reading the series to see where it goes, but this wasn‘t as great as #murdertrending.

BookDragonNotWorm I agree, #murdertrending was SO good, this one paled in comparison. 2mo

I‘m a little late as my sister, a friend, and I had a huge garage sale yesterday at my mom‘s.

U is for Undertow - Finished the last 18 minutes on Sunday night - Pick
#murdertrending - Finished the last 2/3 Monday night - Pick
Giant Days Vol 7 & 8 - Pick
It Feels Good To Be Yourself - Recommend for all ages - Pick

In progress -
Moon of the Crusted
The Gods of Gotham
The Light Between The Oceans

Cinfhen I started with God‘s on audio but I feel like I need to read the book or at least start with the book because I was having difficulty trying to keep characters straight. How are u finding it??? Are u reading or listening??? 3mo
Bookzombie @Cinfhen I‘m listening to Gods too. I find I do have to focus on it more than some audios. I think it might be the words being used for the time period, like “kinchen” over child. It also took me a minute to get the characters straight, but it seems okay now. I‘m only about 28% in though. Audio time had been limited. 3mo

I think I‘m going to have a little more reading time this week so my ambition for my #weeklyforecast is kind of high.

I only have 18 minutes left in U is for Undertow so will definitely be starting TGOG.

Still 2/3 to go in #murdertrending but it‘s a fast paced read. I‘m sure I will knock out the 2 volumes of Giant Days and the children‘s book too. I think I can also read the Rice and maybe get started on the Stedman. 🤞🏻

Bookzombie @Cinfhen That‘s great! It‘s one that has been on my shelf for a bit. 3mo

I‘m a little late with my #bookreport due to my husband being a distraction (I mean this in a loving and funny way!).

📖I finished The Bus On Thursday. It was weird, but a pick.
🎧I‘m 67% through my reread of the tagged book. I have completely forgotten what exactly happens in this one.
📖I‘m a third of the way through #murdertrending and wondering if I have something figured out already. I really like it so far.
🎧TGOG is still on deck.

Cinfhen I‘ve just added GoDs to my que ~ maybe I‘ll start it later this week too 3mo

I‘m a little late (as usual), but I love this idea @Cinfhen ! I‘m currently a third of the way through the tagged book and I‘m re-listening to U is for Undertow. The McNeil is my next physical book on deck. The Gods of Gotham is my next audio pick because I saw @Chrissyreadit say it is great on audio. #weeklyforecast

Cinfhen I just saw that Gods is available on Hoopla!!! I‘m out of credits for October but I‘m gonna pick it up in November 🥰 3mo
Chrissyreadit Yay! I look forward to hearing what you and @Cinfhen think of it! I bought #murdertrending for an All Hallows‘ Read gift for one of my teens- but I want to read it too.... 3mo
LibrarianRyan I was going to say how much I love Murdertrending but then remembered I‘m the one who recommended it. 😁 3mo
Bookzombie @Cinfhen I‘m glad November is so close! My library has it on Libby fortunately. 🙂 3mo
Bookzombie @Chrissyreadit ☺️TGoG has been on my TBR for a while so I‘m happy to get to it soon! @LibrarianRyan You are the one who recommended it, lol. 3mo
Reggie How is The Bus on Thursday going for you? I kept teetering between being horrified and laughing my *** off. 3mo
Bookzombie @Reggie It‘s going okay. I‘m feeling mixed about it. I only have 61 pages left. I want to know what‘s going on! 3mo

4. Sci-fi- Illuminae
5. Fantasy- The Black Witch
6. Political- internment

#myidealbookclub

LibrarianRyan 11. Non-Fic- Twilight Man 12. #ownvoices- Dread Nation (edited) 3mo
LibrarianRyan I should also say that I have never used any of these books or those on the MG list in a book club before. I know it‘s easier to reuse selections, but I love never knowing what a kid or teen will say. 3mo
Chrissyreadit Nice list! Several are on my TBR too. 3mo

LibrarianRyan @Chrissyreadit I‘ve read all but Internment and a gentleman‘s guide. 3mo
Chrissyreadit So you liked The Black Witch? 3mo
LibrarianRyan @Chrissyreadit I did. I plan on getting to book two. It started slowly but once it picked up it shot forward. So much of the beginning was world building. I hated the main character to start but loved it in the end. And I have a few spoiler theory‘s that I think will happen in book 2. 3mo
Come-read-with-me @LibrarianRyan This is an amazing list of books. Really excited that you shared it! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 3mo
Avanders Another great list!! 😁👊🏽 3mo
